Manchester United Lose To Crystal Palace, Maiden City In Oldest Football Tournament

Manchester United U14s were beaten 3-1 by Maiden City Soccer in the Youdan Trophy on Monday morning.
The young Red Devils are in Group C of the competition along with Maiden City, Seattle Sounders, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest.
The Youdan Trophy is taking place in Sheffield July 31 to August 4 and Manchester United U14s are playing their games at the University of Sheffield’s Warminster Road pitches.
The Youdan Trophy is a Not-For-Profit company, commemorating the oldest football tournament in the world – the Football Challenge Cup presented by Thomas Youdan Esq. that pre-dates the FA Cup by a full four years and was played only once at Bramall Lane in 1867.
United youngsters, who lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace on Monday afternoon, tackle Seattle Sounders in their next game on August 1.
