Published: August 09, 2017
Odion Ighalo is enjoying one of his best spells of his entire career, goalscoring-wise, with the Changchun Yatai frontman netting his ninth and tenth goal of the season in his side's 2-0 road win against Henan Jianye on Wednesday.
The former Watford star opened the scoring for Changchun Yatai in the 12th minute from close range after Jiang Zhe played a delightful pass through the Henan Jianye defense.
Sixteen minutes into the second half, the Super Eagles star doubled Changchun Yatai's advantage with another close range finish.
Elsewhere, Aaron Samuel scored his first goal in his second spell with CSKA Moscow in their 2-1 win at Tosno.
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr and his scouts are understood to be monitoring the progress of Ighalo and Samuel ahead of the World Cup qualifiers against African champs Cameroon in September.
