Nigerian Right Back Battling Chelsea Teammate For Man Of The Match Award
Published: August 16, 2017
Chelsea loanee Ola Aina is in the running for Hull City's latest Man of the Match award.
The Nigeria Football Federation target put in an impressive shift as the Tigers were beaten for the first time this season, losing 3-2 to Wolverhampton Wanderers on game week three in the Championship on Tuesday.
Aina made several threatening forays down the right wing, but Wolves snatched all three points right at the death when the former England U19 skipper lost possession on halfway, which allowed the opponents to launch a counter-attack.
With four hours to the end of voting, the right wing-back is second in the polls, behind another Chelsea loanee Michael Hector.
Benin-City born attacker Bright Enobakhare started for Wolves at the KCOM Stadium, and provided the assist for his team's second goal scored by Diogo Jota.
