Alex Iwobi Explains No-Show In Uyo, Urges Eagles To Beat CameroonVersatile Arsenal winger Alex Iwobi has explained why he won't be available for selection when Nigeria take on Cameroon in World Cup qualifiers on September 1 and 4 in Uyo and Yaounde respectively.

There is nothing new only that this time it is straight from the horse's mouth, with the Hale End Academy product confirming that he is still nursing an undisclosed injury, which prevented him from making the squad to face Liverpool this past weekend.

Iwobi has urged his Super Eagles teammates to do the country proud by beating Cameroon, and also has a message for the fans.

Iwobi posted on Twitter : ''Gutted I'll Be Missing Our Games Due To Injury. I'm Behind The Boys 💯. Thanks To Our Fans For Your Support! Let's Do Nigeria Proud 🇳🇬🦅''.

Alex Iwobi's family friend, Chelsea loanee Ola Aina, is among the 16 players in camp, and would debut for the national team if Fifa gives him the go-ahead.
