Published: August 30, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com's eagle-eyed reported spotted twenty-five players at the Super Eagles first training session held at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Tuesday evening.
It has come to light that Akwa United's defensive midfielder Ifeanyi Ifeanyi received a late invitation to join the team ahead of Friday's game against Cameroon.
The former Flying Eagles star was initially placed on the Super Eagles standby list before the Nigerian Federation drafted him into the main team.
Ifeanyi Ifeanyi started Nigeria's 2-0 win over Benin Republic in an African Nations Championship qualifier this month.
Arsenal striker Alex Iwobi has pulled out of the squad owing to injury, while Chelsea loanee Ola Aina remains doubtful to make his debut as he hasn't gotten the green light from Fifa.
