The performances of three Nigerian stars in the World Cup qualifier against Cameroon at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium last Friday have not gone unnoticed, with Confederation of African Football naming the trio in its Dream Team for match day three.
In a 3-5-2 formation, Mainz star Leon Balogun started in the left side of central defense, with Tottenham Hotspur new boy Serge Aurier and Mehdi Benatia taking the remaining two positions.
Leicester City Young Player of the Year Wilfred Ndidi started in central defense and Chelsea dazzler Moses played from the right flank.
Playing in a more advanced position than his role for Chelsea, Moses contributed to two goals scored by the Nigerian team in their 4-0 rout of African champions Cameroon.
Ndidi and Leon Balogun assisted first-timer in the World Cup qualifiers Ikechukwu Ezenwa to post a shutout against the Indomitable Lions.
