Arsenal suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of Chelsea in an U18 Premier League fixture at Cobham Training Centre (Stoke d'Abernon, Surrey) on Saturday afternoon.
Five players of Nigerian descent Joseph Olowu, Tobi Omole, Folarin Balogun, James Olayinka and Bukayo Saka made the starting line-up of the Gunners.
Chelsea midfielder Tariq Uwakwe and Arsenal goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo were non-playing substitutes for this one.
The England U19 star was probably rested to be fresh for Tuesday afternoon's UEFA Youth League match against Qarabağ U19s.
In the early stages of the game, Balogun gave a good account of himself and had two chances to score his third league goal but was closed down by the Chelsea defenders.
Guehi volleyed home to give the Blues the lead in the seventh minute, and the home team were two goals to the good two minutes before the interval thanks to Gilmour 's 20-yard strike.
In their next fixtures in the league, table-topping Chelsea travel to Swansea City on Saturday, September 23, and Arsenal host Reading.
