Leeds United Monitor Norwegian League Neymar Against Real Sociedad
Published: September 16, 2017
EFL Championship side Leeds United embarked on a scouting trip to Spain for the Europa League clash between Real Sociedad and Norwegian powerhouse Rosenborg on Thursday.
According to the well informed Scouts In Attendance, a Leeds United scout was among the 21,479 spectators at the Estadio Municipal de Anoeta (Donostia-San Sebastián).
And he has speculated that the Whites came to run the rule over Nigerian striker Samuel Adegbenro, otherwise known as the Norwegian League Neymar.
The 21-year-old was chosen to partner former Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner in attack and lasted 82 minutes on the pitch before he was replaced by Jevtović.
Though Adegbenro was presumably the primary target of Leeds United, the talent spotters would have been impressed with the performance of Spain international Diego Llorente, who scored twice for the Spaniards in a 4-0 win.
Samuel Adegbenro almost single-handedly took Rosenborg to the group stage of the Europa League after scoring three of their four goals against Ajax Amsterdam in the playoffs.
The Kwara United product has a contract with RBK until the end of the 2021 season.
