Injured Nura Abdullahi Misses Opportunity To Show Off To Man Utd
Published: September 18, 2017
Recuperating Nigerian defender Nura Abdullahi missed an opportunity to show off his skills to Manchester United scouts
during Roma's Champions League match with Atlético Madrid on September 12.
According to the online edition of Daily Star two of Jose Mourinho’s scouts were sent to watch last week’s Champions League game between the Italian and Spanish clubs.
It is being speculated the Red Devils talent spotters were at the Stadio Olimpico to run the rule over Atlético Madrid number eight Saul Niguez and Roma number four Radja Nainggolan.
Nura Abdullahi is presently in the treatment room due to a Biceps femoris muscle injury, and is expected to return to action on October 18, meaning he can only feature in the Champions League when Roma face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge next month.
Prior to the right back's spell on the sidelines, Abdullahi was closing in on making his competitive debut for Roma after he was included in their match day squad for the opening round of matches in the Serie A against Atalanta.
The 20-year-old played the last five minutes of Roma's 4-1 loss to Celta de Vigo in pre-season.
