Victor Moses Advises Tammy Abraham : Play For Nigeria Not England
Published: September 21, 2017
Chelsea right wing-back Victor Moses is advising England U21 star Tammy Abraham to pick the Super Eagles over The Three Lions at senior international level, according to the Nigeria Football Federation.
From the word go, Moses always wanted to represent the Nigerian national teams while he was turning out for the Young Lions, and the former England U17 sensation was included in the negotiations with Abraham that took place in London recently.
''Another source at the said meeting confirmed to thenff.com that Moses actually called in during the meeting to lend a voice to the call for Tammy to opt to fly with the Eagles rather than hunt with the Lions,'' stated the NFF.
''Moses himself has proved a worthwhile ‘catch’ for Nigeria, emerging the Super Eagles’ most valuable player in his first tournament – the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations that Nigeria won in South Africa – and playing at the 2014 FIFA World Cup finals in Brazil where the Eagles made the Round of 16.''
A product of Crystal Palace, Moses qualified to represent Nigeria because he was born in Benin City to a Nigerian mom and dad.
