Ahmed Musa Bags Two Assists As Leicester City Beat Chelsea 2-0 In PL2
Published: September 22, 2017
Due to his lack of first team opportunities, the Nigeria international participated in tonight's fixture in a bid to improve his match fitness, and his return to the Foxes first team may be close after impressing against Chelsea U23s.
On 25 minutes, Leicester City took the lead through George Thomas, who scored after a brilliant interception and pass from Musa.
And the Super Eagle would have doubled the home team's advantage before the midway point of the second half but goalkeeper Bulka produced a fine save to deny the Nigerian.
With 16 minutes left on the clock, Musa unselfishly squared the ball to George Thomas, who fired into the top corner to make it 2-0 to Leicester City.
The former CSKA Moscow star was substituted in the first minute of stoppage time, while Layton Ndukwu watched proceedings from the bench.
