The Guinea-Bissau national team, the Djurtus, will begin preparations for their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying clash against Nigeria on Sunday afternoon after securing a 2-0 victory over Tanzania.
The Djurtus are scheduled to hold their first training session at the 24 de Setembro National Stadium in Bissau at 4pm, following their return to the capital on Saturday night.
The session will mark the start of preparations for Tuesday's Group L encounter against the Super Eagles.
The Djurtus arrived at Osvaldo Vieira International Airport after travelling back from Zanzibar, where they recorded a 2-0 win over Tanzania in their opening Afcon qualifier
The victory gave Guinea-Bissau a strong start to their qualifying campaign, but their attention now turns to Nigeria.
The two teams will meet at the 24 de Setembro National Stadium on Tuesday in the second round of Group L qualifying for the 2027 Afcon.
Meanwhile, following a recovery session on September 26, the Super Eagles held their final training session in Uyo on Sunday morning before departing for Guinea-Bissau.
The players and officials are expected to arrive at the airport in Uyo at 2pm, with the delegation scheduled to depart for Guinea-Bissau at 3pm.
