Why Nigerian Midfielder Did Not Flaunt His Wares To Barcelona, Man Utd, Arsenal
Published: September 23, 2017
Ex-Flying Eagles star Chidera Ezeh was absent for the Portuguese Primeira Liga clash between his former club Porto and Portimonense on Friday night.
The attacking midfielder missed out on an opportunity to showcase his skills to several scouts who watched the match at the Estádio Do Dragão.
According to the reliable Scouts In Attendance, representatives from Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal, Eibar, Celta de Vigo, Montpellier HSC and AS Monaco were among the 38,105 spectators at Estádio Do Dragão.
Chidera Ezeh's progress at Portimonense has been curtailed by injury in recent weeks and he had to go under the knife to repair the damage to his knee.
The 19-year-old was included in Portimonense' match day squad in the opening three rounds of the new season, before missing the next four matches against CS Marítimo, Benfica, Feirense and Porto.
Ezeh helped Portimonense secure promotion to the top-flight last season.
