Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr is sweating on the fitness of Alex Iwobi ahead of a vital World Cup qualifier against Zambia in Uyo next weekend.
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that the injured Hale End Academy product has been omitted from the Gunners squad that boarded a plane bound for Belarus on Wednesday afternoon.
Before the Premier League club departed the English capital, their final workout took place at London Colney, with Iwobi not in attendance.
The Nigeria Football Federation are understood to be monitoring the situation of Iwobi, with a view to excusing him from international duty against Zambia.
Five players, including CSKA Moscow striker Aaron Samuel, have been placed on standby to replace an injured player in the 23-play roster at short notice.
Former England U21 international Chuba Akpom was among the Arsenal players that made the trip, while Tolaji Bola and Aaron Eyoma, who have both been registered for the Europa League have remained in London.
