Conte Pleased With Victor Moses, Chelsea Players After Atletico Madrid Win
Published: September 28, 2017
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte was delighted with the performance of Victor Moses and the remaining thirteen players that were involved in his side's impressive 2-1 win at Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night.
The Nigeria international would have scored his second Champions League goal if he had not concentrated on keeping the ball down instead of hitting the target in the 55th minute, and, perhaps, would have grabbed a late winner for the Premier League champions but was beaten to the ball by Michy Batshuayi.
''This was a really big game for us and to play in this way means we are working very well,'' Conte told Chelsea's official website.
''I am very pleased for my players because they deserve to play this type of game, above all to play in this way.
''You can win but if you only defend and counter-attack I think there isn’t the right satisfaction.
''Instead to try to play and show we are ready to play, it’s very important. The answer tonight was very positive.''
Next up for Victor Moses and his teammates is another difficult game against Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday, September 30.
