Super Eagles Training Session : Moses Looking Fit & Sharp, Iwobi Has Eagle Eyes, Aina Bedding-In
Published: October 04, 2017
The Super Eagles had their second training session at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Wednesday evening, with two mini-games taking place.
The training games were quite competitive as the players sought to win the hearts of the coaching staff.
While the German tactician gave a clue of the players he intends to start in defense and attack, he left everyone guessing about his preferred options in midfield and who will be in between the pipes.
Five players trained for the first time with the team today and here's how they performed :
Victor Moses : He got on well and took on his markers well with his dribbles. He looked fit and sharp.
Chidozie Awaziem : Was his usual self, trying to pass out of defense even though one or two didn't come off majorly due to no one opening up for him. He did put in a couple of tackles preventing the opponent from scoring.
Alex Iwobi : The Arsenal man played from the right hand side and always looking to pass to his free teammates. Kept finding spaces to receive he ball and launch the attacks.
Ola Aina : The Chelsea loanee is bedding-in. He did fine and tried to go forward when he had the opportunity.
Moses Simon : The Gent star whose main attributes are running at speed and turning his marker looked to beat his opponents at any given opportunity and did deliver some crosses for the main striker. Set to keep his place in the starting XI.
