Amuneke Sends Clear Message To Super Eagles : Seal Qualification
Published: October 06, 2017Former African Footballer of the Year Emmanuel Amuneke has sent a message to the Super Eagles players and fans, twenty four hours before Nigeria take on Zambia in a World Cup qualifier.
And the former Barcelona winger has made it crystal clear that the Super Eagles should book their 2018 World Cup spot by beating the Copper Bullets, and advised the fans to be on the side of the players.
''I want to charge the Super Eagles to seal their qualification to Russia and make Nigeria proud. We believe in them and we are behind them,'' said Amuneke in a message posted by Nigerian Football Federation on Twitter.
''For the fans, I want you to give more than one hundred percent support to the team. Good luck and God Bless You''.
Nigeria clinched the 1994 African Cup of Nations staged in Tunisia by beating Zambia 2-1, with Amuneke scoring a brace.
The former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles manager scored twice at the 1994 World Cup.
