How Moses & Iwobi Reacted To Nigeria Booking Their Spot In World Cup
Published: October 08, 2017
Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi were full of happiness in the wake of Nigeria sealing their World Cup ticket with a game to spare following a hard-fought 1-0 win over Zambia on Saturday evening.
The Super Eagles struggled to break down the Copper Bullets until a goal from the Arsenal number seventeen in the 74th minute rescued Nigeria and they are now assured of a place in the World Cup.
Flamboyant winger Moses tweeted: ''Massive win and proud to help my country qualify for the World Cup! Thank you to the whole of Nigeria 🇳🇬 #Nigeria #SuperEagles''.
Alex Iwobi added : ''A Dream Come True...We're Heading To The World Cup 🙌🏽.Nice To Get The Winning Goal, Massive Thanks To Our Fans. The Atmosphere Was Crazy 🇳🇬🦅''
Gernot Rohr has always trusted the Chelsea and Arsenal stars since he was appointed coach, inviting both for all the Group B qualifiers, although Iwobi couldn't make it to Africa last month due to injury while Moses was not in Ndola.
Under the stewardship of Rohr, Iwobi has scored his two goals for the national team.
