One of the emerging nations of youth football England began their campaign at the Fifa U17 World Cup with a 4-0 hammering of Chile at Salt Lake Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Tottenham Hotspur right back Timothy Eyoma went the distance for the Young Lions and assisted goalkeeper Curtis Anderson to post his first shutout in India.
Steve Cooper's side took the lead early on, scoring through Hudson-Odoi in the fifth minute but could not add to the score before the end of the first-half despite dominating proceedings.
In the 51st minute, Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho doubled the lead before registering his name on the score-sheet again on the hour mark to make it 3-0 England.
Timothy Eyoma was booked in the 61st minute for a late challenge outside the box.
Nine minutes from time, Manchester United star Angel Gomes rubbed salt into the Chilean wounds when he curled a brilliant free-kick which went straight inside the goal.
