Rohr Wants Enyeama To Break Richard Kingson's African Record At World CupSuper Eagles manager Gernot Rohr has not ruled out the possibility of naming Lille netminder Vincent Enyeama in his World Cup roster when he announces the squad list in May 2018.

Speaking on Friday, the German tactician all but confirmed that Enyeama will be on the plane to Russia, provided the goalkeeper puts his injury troubles behind him.

''He (Enyeama) has just been operated on the meniscus, he is working on his fitness. He has been to three World Cups, could be a record on his position for a fourth World Cup,'' Rohr told Lagos Talks 91.3.

''It could be a challenge for him, I think he's working on that but actually the situation is that we are unlucky on this position because he was injured.

''Carl is out unfortunately for a long time and we all pray for him and we dedicate each victory to him. But we are hoping that he can come back.''

Enyeama has made eight appearances for the Super Eagles across three World Cups, and will surpass Africa's record appearance holder for a goalkeeper at the World Cup, Ghana's Richard Kingson, if he is involved in two group matches next summer.
