Nigeria Hero Alex Iwobi Targets New Personal Record Vs Watford
Published: October 14, 2017
Nigeria hero Alex Iwobi is targeting a new personal record when Arsenal visit The Vic to face Watford on Saturday, October 14.
Since turning professional, the Hale End Academy product has not managed to score in three games on the bounce cumulatively for the Gunners and the Nigerian national team.
Iwobi first scored in two consecutive matches back in the 2015-2016 season when he notched goals against Everton (March 19) and Watford (April 2).
And he matched his best scoring streak by finding the net against Basel (Champions League) and Stoke City (Premier League) in December 2016.
For the third time in his career, he had a two-game scoring streak, against Brighton & Hove and Zambia in a World Cup qualifier last weekend.
The 21-year-old Iwobi has 77 games under his belt for club and country, scoring nine goals.
