Conte Provides Update On Severity Of Injury Suffered By Moses Against Eagles
Published: October 14, 2017
Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has provided an update on the injury sustained by Victor Moses in his side's 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace and has refused to categorically state that the Nigerian faces a spell on the sidelines.
The former Crystal Palace winger had to be replaced by summer signing Davide Zappacosta with five minutes remaining in the first half and is set to undergo tests in the coming hours to determine the extent of the injury.
''I think in this moment for us it is a very difficult moment. When you start the game without Morata and Kante it is not simple,'' Conte said in his post-match comments.
''Then another important player gets an injury like Moses. I hope to have him very soon, in this moment it is very difficult for us. We lose three or four players and it is a big problem for us. ''
Conte added : ''For sure Moses, I don't know if his injury is a serious injury. Drinkwater is still out. I hope to have Morata back.''
Moses made his eighth appearance of the season in all competitions against Crystal Palace.
