Solomon-Otabor Earns Praise From Blackpool Coach For Scoring Equalizer
Published: October 15, 2017
Former Nigeria U23 invitee Viv Solomon-Otabor has finally opened his goalscoring account for Blackpool and it came in his 13th game for the Seasiders in their 1-1 draw with Walsall on Saturday evening.
Two minutes after coming off the bench, the Birmingham City loanee cut inside from the left and found the net with his first few touches.
''All season the subs, when they’ve been called upon, have been terrific,'' manager Gary Bowyer told blackpoolfc.co.uk.
''Viv has had a tough time off the pitch in the last week or two but the way he’s dealt with it and with the support of his team-mates and the staff, he’s shown today what he’s capable of.
''That goal has been coming to be fair to him.''
English-born Solomon-Otabor is on loan at Blackpool until 6 January, 2018.
He was named Birmingham City's Young Player of the Year for the 2015-2016 season.
