Nigeria star Victor Moses will be assessed in the coming days to determine the severity of the injury he sustained against Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.
Blues manager Antonio Conte is positive that the right wing-back will be available for selection soon, though it is all but confirmed that he won't feature when Roma visit Stamford Bridge.
''During the game another important player, Moses, had an injury, and I hope to have him back very soon,'' said Conte.
The Champions League encounter between Chelsea and Roma will be held in the English capital on Wednesday.
Whilst Moses has been ruled out of the tie, young Nigerian right back Nura Abdullahi is in line to travel with the Roma squad, having made the bench against Napoli yesterday.
Moses went the distance against Atlético Madrid on September 27.
