Updated: Tottenham's Nigerian Midfielder In Line To Make UYL Debut Vs Real Madrid
Published: October 17, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that the young Nigerian midfielder Moroyin Omolabi is in line to make his UEFA Youth League debut when Tottenham Hotspur tackle Real Madrid at the Estadio Alfredo Di Stéfano on Tuesday, October 17.
Moroyin Omolabi has traveled with the Tottenham Hotspur squad to Madrid for the match day three fixture.
The teenager was named on the bench against Borussia Dortmund and APOEL in September.
His chances of making the starting line-up against Real Madrid today is slim though as he went the distance for the U18s in their 3-1 win over West Ham on Saturday, in which he scored his first goal at that age level in the 72nd minute.
Moroyin’s father was also a fantastic footballer, he captained the University of Agriculture in Makurdi as an undergraduate before leaving for Europe where he had a stint in football before veering to academics.
Meanwhile, Timothy Eyoma is certain to miss the match against Real Madrid as he is presently in India with England U17s.
