Leicester City are through to the quarterfinals after beating Leeds United 3-1 at the King Power Stadium.
Super Eagles striker Kelechi Iheanacho clocked up 80 minutes and netted his first goal in a Leicester City shirt on the half-hour mark.
The ball fell to the number eight and he found the bottom corner from 18 yards, before providing the assist for Leicester City's second goal scored by Islam Slimani in the 70th minute.
Ahmed Musa and Wilfred Ndidi watched from the bench for the whole of the game.
Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham subbed in after 72 minutes but could not find a way past goalkeeper Romero as Manchester United beat Swansea City 2-0 at the Liberty Stadium.
As previously reported, U23 stars Tosin Kehinde (tactical decision) and Matthew Olosunde (injury) were not in United's traveling party to Wales.
Over to the Etihad Stadium, Tosin Adarabioyo started for Manchester City, his first of the season, against Bright Enobakhare's Wolverhampton Wanderers. It was goalless as at the 86th minute with both Nigerians still involved.
Freddie Ladapo subbed in 11 minutes into the second half as Crystal Palace were eliminated by Championship side Bristol City. 4-1 it finished at Ashton Gate Stadium.
Alex Iwobi started for Arsenal against Norwich City at the Emirates Stadium, Chuba Akpom came off the bench in the 70th minute for his first appearance of the season. It finished 1-1 after ninety minutes.
Elsewhere, Jordon Ibe entered into the fray in the 70th minute for AFC Bournemouth in their 3-1 win over Middlesbrough at the Vitality Stadium.
