Nigerian-Brazilian Striker, Dom Responds To Everton Link, Chelsea Are His Dream Club
Published: October 26, 2017
Prolific Vejle Boldklub striker Dominic Vinícius Eberechukwu Uzoukwu has responded to speculation linking him with a possible move to Everton as from the January transfer window.
The São Paulo born talent, top scorer of the Danish First Division last season, was watched by a representative of the Toffees in Vejle's 3-1 loss to Esbjerg on October 15.
''I was happy they (Everton) came to watch the game, unfortunately we lost this day and I did not have a great performance,'' Dominic told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''I still do not know anything about my future. So I'm only focused today on wearing the Vejle Boldklub shirt''.
Asked to name his dream club he would love to represent, Dom replied : '' I have not been contacted by Everton since I started playing football. The dream club I want to join if I leave Vejle is Chelsea''.
Born to a Nigerian father and a Brazilian mom, Dominic has refused to rule out the possibility of playing for the Super Eagles, saying he will not a reject a call-up by the Nigerian Federation.
Since joining Vejle in 2016, he has scored 22 goals in 43 matches.
