A division lower, Samsunspor star John Chibuike produced an accomplished performance against Gaziantepspor, scoring two first-half goals in a 3-0 win. He played the full game against his former team.
Fred Friday was in Jupiler League action for Jong AZ Alkmaar against Go Ahead Eagles at De Adelaarshorst (Deventer).
For the fifth straight game in the Dutch second-tier, the former Dream Team VI invitee got on the score-sheet, but could not prevent his side from losing 2-1 to the home team.
In the Russian Premier League, Aaron Samuel started for CSKA Moscow in their 1-0 loss to Arsenal Tula. He was sacrificed for Vitinho after Konstantin Kuchaev was shown a red card nine minutes into the second half.

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr was handed a fitness boost after Leon Balogun made Mainz's 18-man squad for the Bundesliga match against Eintracht Frankfurt.
