England Coach Southgate To Run The Rule Over Tammy Abraham Against Arsenal
Published: October 28, 2017
England national team coach Gareth Southgate will attend the Premier League match between Arsenal and Swansea City at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday, October 28, according to reports.
The Daily Mail writes on its electronic edition that the Three Lions gaffer will run the rule over Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham and fit again Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.
Abraham has not done badly since moving on loan to Swansea City in the summer transfer window, scoring 5 goals in 12 matches across all competitions.
If the 20-year-old impresses Gareth Southgate, there is a huge likelihood that he will earn his maiden England call-up for their upcoming international friendlies against Germany and Brazil next month.
Camberwell-born Abraham first played for England U18s and U19s before he was promoted to the U21s without him making a single appearance for the U20s.
The Nigeria Football Federation held high-level talks with the striker and his camp last month in the English capital, only for him to make a U-turn and pledge his allegiance to England again.
Abraham will discover if he impressed Gareth Southgate on Thursday when he announces his roster for November's games.
