Liverpool Working On Deal To Sign The Mexican Lionel Messi

Liverpool are working on a deal to sign young Mexican striker Diego Lainez but face competition from Spain, as per reports.
ESPN Digital says The Reds ran the rule over the Club América wonderkid at the 2017 Fifa U17 World Cup, and were impressed with what they saw.
Lainez helped Mexico to qualify for the round of 16, scoring two goals in four matches before they were knocked out of the tournament by Iran.
The 17-year-old has played three games so far in the Apertura 2017 with América in the new era of Miguel Herrera.
Villarreal are the Spanish club interested in signing Diego Lainez.
He has cited Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi as his role model.
