Ugbo, Adeniran, Edun Named In England Youth Squads, As Abraham Waits
Published: November 02, 2017
Three players of Nigerian descent have been named in England youth squads ahead of the third international break of the 2017-2018 season.
Chelsea wonderkid Ike Ugbo and Fulham midfielder Tayo Edun were included in manager Keith Downing’s U20 roster for the friendly against Germany at Stadion Zwickau on November 14.
Ugbo, who is spending the whole of this season on loan at Barnsley, started and scored against Italy U20s last month, and was part of the Young Lions team that retained their Toulon Tournament crown in June 2017.
Everton deadline day signing Dennis Adeniran has been picked by England U19 boss Paul Simpson for the UEFA European U19 Championship qualifiers.
The European champions will face Faroe Islands (November 8), Iceland (November 11) and Bulgaria (November 14).
Meanwhile, in the next thirty minutes or so, Chelsea whizkid Tammy Abraham will discover if he stands a chance of making the Three Lions roster for their games against Brazil and Germany.
If the Nigeria Football Federation target is named in the England U21 squad, he will be left out of the senior squad.
