USA Make Move To Cap-Tie Ex-Arsenal Striker, Who Is Eligible For Nigeria, England

United States Soccer Federation have set the wheels in motion to cap-tie former Arsenal Ladies striker Chioma Ubogagu, who has ancestral ties to Nigeria.
The Orlando Pride forward has received her maiden call-up to the U.S. Women’s National Team for the forthcoming matches against Canada in Vancouver (November 9) and San Jose (November 12).
Born in London 25 years ago, Chioma previously represented the Americans at U18 and U23 level, and was a member of the U20 squad that won the 2012 U-20 Women’s World Cup and CONCACAF Championship.
''The call-up is a worthy reward for the very successful 2017 season Chi had,'' Pride Head Coach Tom Sermanni said to Orlando City's official website.
''Her game and confidence grew throughout the season and, with it, came enhanced performances.
''This will be a great opportunity for her to keep learning at the highest level.''
US Soccer revealed that Chioma will train as an outside back at the training camp after playing that position at times with her club this season.
The Stanford Cardinal product had stops at Arsenal and Houston Dash before she was acquired by Orlando Pride in January 2017.
