Alex Iwobi Tells Arsenal Teammates What They Must Do To Stop Man City
Published: November 03, 2017
Alex Iwobi has advised his Arsenal teammates to be cautious defensively when they face Manchester City in the Premier League on Sunday, saying their strikers are ruthless in front of goal.
Of the top eight strikers in the English top-flight, statistically speaking, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling, Gabriel Jesus and Leroy Sane, are on the books of the Citizens, and they have contributed to 26 of the 35 goals scored by the club after ten rounds.
''Their attacking play. They’ve been scoring goals for fun and they’re very dangerous going forward, so we’ll have to do well tactically and defensively to be able to stop that,'' Iwobi told arsenal.com.
''With the attacking players we have, we’ll always create chances and should be able to get a couple of goals, but we need to tighten up in defence, especially against a team like Man City.''
Manager Arsene Wenger gave everyone a hint that Iwobi will play a part against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium after omitting the winger from the match day squad against Red Star Belgrade on Thursday night.
