Published: November 03, 2017
Promising Oxford United goalkeeper Manny Agboola has pledged his international future to Nigeria ahead of England.
The 19-year-old is regarded as one of the top goalkeeping prospects in the EFL League One, and Oxford United rewarded him with a professional contract at the end of the 2016-2017 season.
''Manny has committed his international future to Nigeria, he is interested in playing for Nigerian youth teams,'' a top source close to the goalkeeper told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''He would be delighted to play for the Olympic National Team when the squad is assembled.''
Agboola was named in The U's match day squads in last season's Emirates FA Cup matches against Newcastle United and Middlesbrough, where he deputized for Simon Eastwood.
Oxford United have loaned him to North Leigh until January 27th, 2018 to continue his development.
Born in England, the goalkeeper has no international caps for the Young Lions and qualifies to represent Nigeria through his parents.
