Adeboyejo's Barnsley Jersey No Revealed, One-Year Option Can Be Triggered 2020
Published: November 05, 2017
EFL Championship outfit Barnsley announced the capture of the talented Nigerian striker Victor Adeboyejo on Saturday, without revealing his jersey number.
Allnigeriasoccer.com can exclusively report that the former Arsenal youth-teamer has been handed the number 29 jersey for the remainder of the 2017-2018 season.
This website understands that The Reds can trigger the one-year option inserted into Adeboyejo's deal when the initial agreement between club and player runs out in the summer of 2020.
Barnsley's Head Coach Paul Heckingbottom was pleased with the signing of the teenager, telling the club's official website : ''Victor has seen a clear pathway at the Club which is a compliment to what we are doing here and from his point of view, really exciting.
''He had multiple offers on the table but he always stated how much he wanted to join us which was impressive.
''He’s got a real chance to work hard and impress now, we want to see him pushing for the first team.''
Victor Adeboyejo was on the radar of Premier League champions Chelsea before he agreed terms with Barnsley.
