Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United) : Akpeyi had earned great plaudits for his performances for the Chilli Boys this season and he was yet again in better mood, posting a total shutout as they beat Bidvest Wits 2-0 last week, earning his fifth clean sheet of the campaign in eight outings in the process.

Defenders

Efe Ambrose ( Hibernian) : The Super Eagles defender was in action for Hibernian as they triumphed over Dundee FC 2-1 in the Scotland Premiership. The 29-year old logged ninety in the clash as his side moved five points closer to league pacesetters, Celtic.

William Troot-Ekong (Bursaspor) : There was no clean sheet for the Green Crocodiles this time but Troost-Ekong starred as they battled back to draw 2-2 at Kasimpasa.

The 24-year old was in action for the entire duration of the stalemate.

Kenneth Omeruo (Kasimpasa) : Omeruo was in the heart of the Kasimpasa defence as they cancelled out William Troost-Ekong's Bursaspor at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Stadium on Saturday.

It was the 24-year-old's eighth league appearance for the Apaches this season.

Tyronne Ebuehi (Ado Den Haag) : Ebuehi put in a full shift for his Ado Den Haag side as they drew 2-2, claiming a credible point against Eredivisie high-flyers, Feyenoord.

Midfielders

Mikel Obi (Tianjin Teda) : The Super Eagles skipper was in action for his CSL side, Tianjin Teda as they pipped Henan Jianye 1-0 at the Tuanbo Football Stadium on Saturday.

The 30-year old went the full distance of the encounter, picking up a customary yellow on the 74th minute.

Wilfred Ndidi (Leicester City) : Ndidi continued his impressive form for the Foxes in the English Premier League, putting in an individual masterclass showing as they drew 2-2 on Saturday.

The 20-year old picked up the MOTM accolade to go with his decent assist, having set up Riyad Mahrez for his side's second goal of the game.

Joel Obi(Torino) : Obi started for the Maroons as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Inter Milan in the Italian Serie A.

Though the Super Eagles midfielder could not replicate his goal scoring exploits last time out, he did well to hold his own with a good display in the middle of the park, earning himself a booking for his troubles in the 64th minute.

John Ogu ( Hapoel Be'er Sheva) : The Super Eagles midfield enforcer bounced back from injury with a more than decent display for Be'er Sheva as they beat Maccabi Petah 2-0.

Strikers

Anthony Nwakaeme (Hapoel Be'er Sheva) : Nwakaeme continued his current goal scoring streak as he netted his tenth goal of the season as Hapoel Be'er Sheva beat  Maccabi Petah 2-0 in the Israeli top-flight.

Osaze Odemwingie (Madura United) : Odewingie was instrumental as his Madura United beat Barito Putera 3-1 in the Indonesian Liga 1.

He laid on two assists while grabbing one for himself in the encounter. It was his 15th of the league season, propelling his side to fourth on the table.
