Chelsea Coach Denies Rift With Emenalo : I Have Enjoyed Working With Him
Published: November 07, 2017
Chelsea coach Antonio Conte has shared his thoughts on the resignation of former Nigeria international Michael Emenalo from his role as Technical Director of Chelsea.
The Italian has more or less denied reports of a rift between himself and Emenalo, saying he had a good working relationship with the ex-Super Eagles defender.
''I am very sorry to see Michael leave Chelsea, and I would like to thank him for all his help and support since I arrived at this club,'' Conte told chelseafc.com.
''I have enjoyed working with him very much, we celebrated a Premier League title together in May, and I wish him the very best for the future.''
Chelsea won three Premier League titles, three FA Cups, the League Cup, Europa League and the Champions League in 2012 during Emenalo's time at Stamford Bridge.
French Ligue 1 outfit Monaco are reportedly interested in the services of the 52-year-old Emenalo.
