Published: November 07, 2017
Tottenham Hotspur loanee Josh Onomah will not add to his international caps for England's youth teams in the third international break of the 2017-2018 season.
The Aston Villa midfielder has withdrawn from England U21 squad ahead of their European U21 Championship qualifier against Ukraine at the Obolon Arena, Kiev on Friday, the English Football Association has announced.
Onomah was among four players of Nigerian descent manager Aidy Boothroyd initially named on the roster, the others being Chelsea's Fikayo Tomori, Everton's Ademola Lookman and Liverpool's Dominic Solanke.
The London-born starlet, who is on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation, has been capped by England at U16, U17, U18, U19, U20 and U21 level, and was one of the stars for the Young Lions when they won the 2017 U20 World Cup.
After the tournament in South Korea, Onomah has recorded three appearances for England U21s from a possible four, and wrote his name on the score-sheet against Scotland last month.
Liverpool striker Dominic Solanke checked in at Hilton at St George's Park on Monday.
