Super Eagles Hopeful Francis Uzoho Reveals His Idol Is David de Gea
Published: November 07, 2017
Young Deportivo de La Coruña goalkeeper Francis Uzoho has revealed that Spanish-born Manchester United star David de Gea is his idol.
Born November 7, 1990, de Gea is celebrating his twenty seventh birthday today and Uzoho has wished him a happy birthday, saying he wants to follow in his footsteps.
''Happy birthday my idol💪🏾 Am coming after you tho🤷🏽♂️😂@D_DeGea ,'' tweeted Francis Uzoho.
Francis Uzoho could make his maiden appearance for the Nigerian national team within the next one week, and if that happens he would have played his first game for his country shortly after his 19th birthday, five years earlier than David de Gea, whose first senior Spain cap was against El Salvador in June 2014.
David de Gea began his career at Atlético Madrid, where he spent eight years, before transferring to Manchester United in the summer of 2011.
Ten years ago, he played against Nigeria in the final of the 2007 Fifa U17 World Cup.
