Published: November 07, 2017
The Super Eagles held their first training on Tuesday ahead of Friday's World Cup qualifier against Algeria in Constantine.
The squad performed exercises and tactical tests under the guidance of manager Gernot Rohr, then a mini-game was held with the twenty players in camp taking part.
The Super Eagles roster is not yet complete with skipper John Obi Mikel, goalkeepers Daniel Akpeyi and Francis Uzoho yet to report for international duty as at 2100 hours Nigerian time.
Mikel and Uzoho are still being expected at Golden Tulip Farah Rabat tonight but Akpeyi is stranded in Lagos due to a flight hitch; Rohr and the goalkeeper coach are aware of the predicament of the Chippa United star.
On Wednesday, the Nigerian team will hold two training sessions in Rabat to make up for lost time.
The Super Eagles will face Algeria on November 10, before clashing with Argentina in a friendly in Russia four days later.
