Published: November 20, 2017
Through a statement on their official website, Chelsea have announced that they have snapped up Sweden international Jonna Andersson from Damallsvenskan champions Linkopings on undisclosed terms.
The contract the left-back signed with Chelsea Ladies will become activated when the transfer window reopens for business on December 29, 2017.
''I’m very happy to sign for Chelsea. It’s a great club, I know they have a huge project and I am excited to be part of that,'' Andersson said.
''I’m looking forward to joining up with the squad and starting a new challenge in my career. I also want to thank Linkopings FC for everything.
''I had nine very good years with the club, where I learned a lot and that’s why I’m here today.''
The 24-year-old Andersson spent her formative years as a footballer at Mjölby AI FF before transferring to Linkopings, with whom she won three league titles and three Swedish Cups.
