According to information gathered by allnigeriasoccer.com, Dream Team VI star Stanley Dimgba's proposed switch to South African ABSA Premiership side Ajax Cape Town has been put on hold for the time being.
If things had gone according to plan, the winger would have returned from South Africa late last week with a deal in the bag, however, he could not travel to Cape Town because Enyimba are in the thick of pre-season preparations.
It is understood that Ajax Cape Town have not locked up Dimgba's case in the drawer and are planning to observe him sometime next year, if he receives go-ahead from the People's Elephant.
The 24-year-old will enter the final twelve months of his contract with Enyimba in January, and the club have inserted a release clause into the deal which must be met by an interested club before he is allowed to leave.
Ahead of the new season and the Nigeria Professional Football League Super Six, Dimgba is in Kano undergoing training with Enyimba.
He lists Warri Wolves, Sunshine Stars, Plateau United and Kwara United amongst his former clubs.
