Manchester United Eyeing Club Record N45.2B Deal For Chelsea, Liverpool Linked Midfielder
Published: December 11, 2017
Manchester United are working on a deal to sign the highly-rated Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić, according to reports.
The Sun claims the Red Devils are plotting a mega £95 million (N45.2 billion) move to bring the Serbian international midfielder to Old Trafford next summer.
Manchester United will break their transfer record if they acquire Milinković-Savić from the Serie A outfit, as he is expected to cost six million pounds more than the fee they paid to Juventus for Paul Pogba.
But Jose Mourinho's team face competition, with bitter rivals Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool credited with an interest in the former Racing Genk starlet.
Manchester United sent spies to watch Milinković-Savić in Lazio's 2-1 win at Sampdoria on December 3.
The 22-year-old has put together 92 appearances for Lazio since joining the club in 2015, scoring 15 goals and providing 13 assists.
