Nigeria Target Chuba Akpom Reaches Milestone For Arsenal Development Squad

Nigeria Football Federation target Chuba Akpom reached a milestone when he was named in the starting line-up in Arsenal's 3-3 draw with Derby County in Premier League 2 on Friday evening.
Akpom's appearance against the Rams was his 50th game for Arsenal's Development Team, which comprises the U21 and U23 squads.
The Hale End Academy product has notched 33 goals in total whilst providing 5 assists since debuting for Arsenal at that level.
Fellow Hale End Academy graduate and his childhood friend Alex Iwobi is still eligible to play for the Gunners U23 squad and has 39 appearances to his name to date, scoring 12 goals.
Akpom started training with Arsenal at the age of six and inked his first professional contract a day after celebrating his seventeenth birthday in October 2012.
The former England U21 international has enjoyed loan spells at Hull City, Brentford, Coventry City, Nottingham Forest and Brighton & Hove Albion.
