Arsenal 1 Newcastle 0: Iwobi Hobbles Off With Injury, German Scores Wonder Goal
Published: December 16, 2017
Arsenal beat Newcastle 1-0 in an English Premier League encounter on Saturday evening, with Alex Iwobi making the starting line-up for the London team.
Arsene Wenger's men ended a worrying three-match winless run in the top-flight.
Ozil riffled in a stunner with just 23 minutes played, pouncing on a poor clearance from Lejeune after Sanchez had saw his shot blocked.
In the 42nd minute, Iwobi drove into the opposition box with lightening speed but Lascelles did well to block his effort.
The Super Eagles star and Lacazette had further chances to add to the tally but the Magpies matched much of their opponent's attacking menace.
Iwobi was forced off with an injury with 18 minutes remaining before Joselu went close at the other end as Arsenal held on for a much needed three points.
