Update : CD Feirense Nigerian Owner Confirms Talks With Porto Over Transfer Of Etebo
Published: December 19, 2017
Clube Desportivo Feirense's Nigerian owner Kunle Soname has confirmed that he has been contacted by Primeira Liga powerhouse Porto over the transfer of Oghenekaro Etebo in January 2018.
The Nigeria international penned a one-year contract extension with Feirense in the summer but the versatile midfielder can leave the club he joined in 2016 if their €10 million asking price is met by an interested club.
''Porto contacted the President of Feirense, Kunle Soname, directly, though they are yet to contact Etebo,'' a top source familiar with the proposed deal told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''Feirense wanted to sell him for ten million euros before Porto expressed their interest. They are negotiating with the president.''
Young Boys, Partizan Belgrade and Rennes are understood to be monitoring the situation of Etebo, with a view to a transfer in the near future.
The 22-year-old is expected to be a key player of Nigeria's 2018 World Cup campaign due to his versatility.
