A round-up of Nigerian players who were in action for their respective clubs in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup on Friday January 5th.
Liverpool pipped Everton 2-1 in an enthralling FA Cup encounter at Anfield in the third round of the competition.
A Virgil Van Dijk's 84th minute header proved just enough in ousting their Merseyside rivals from the tournament, with James Milner and Icelander Gylfi Sigurdsson scoring the other goals.
Ademola Lookman was introduced for Wayne Rooney in the 53rd minute and he was involved in the buildup for Sigurdsson's equaliser.
Dominic Solanke who equally started on the bench for Liverpool entered the fray in the 77th minute and was cautioned ten minutes later for his troubles. Ovie Ejaria was not selected for the clash.
In another FA Cup fixture, Manchester United beat Championship opponents, Derby County 2-0 at Old Trafford, with the goals coming from Jese Lingard and Romelu Lukaku.
Matthew Olosunde and Tosin Kehinde were not selected by manager Jose Mourinho for the encounter.
