Official: Liverpool Recall Winger From Loan Spell With German Club
Published: January 08, 2018
Through a statement on their official website, Premier League side Liverpool have confirmed that promising winger Ryan Kent has been recalled from his loan spell with German outfit Freiburg.
The former England U20 international had been expected to spend the entirety of this season at the Bundesliga club but has returned to his parent club due to his lack of first-team opportunities.
Kent tasted action for only 241 minutes from a possible 1,530 in all competitions for Freiburg.
The 21-year-old penned a multi-year contract with Liverpool before he was farmed out on loan to garner first-team experience.
He made his first-team debut for the Reds in an FA Cup third-round tie with Exeter City in January 2016.
The winger joined Liverpool at the age of seven.
