Las Palmas Win Race For Etebo, Midfielder Travels For Medical Tuesday Evening
Published: January 30, 2018
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Spanish outfit Las Palmas have won the race for the services of C.D. Feirense attacking midfielder Oghenekaro Etebo.
Belgian First Division A team Racing Genk did everything possible to scupper the move but Etebo chose to join Las Palmas instead after he was advised to do so by Feirense.
As at the time of this report, the Nigeria international is gathering up his luggage ahead of his trip to the Canary Islands on Tuesday evening.
C.D. Feirense's Nigerian owner Kunle Soname personally intervened before the club approved Etebo's five-month loan deal with Las Palmas.
The former Warri Wolves star is in tip-top condition and is line to make his competitive debut for Paco Jémez's side when they off with Brown Ideye's Malaga on Monday, February 5.
Las Palmas will be hoping they can salvage a dismal season with the capture of Oghenekaro Etebo.
After 21 rounds in the division, they currently occupy the 19th position on the 20-team table with 14 points.
