Liverpool's Nigerian Midfielder Labelled The Next Pogba Heading To Sunderland
Published: January 30, 2018
One of the brightest prospects at Liverpool's Academy, ex-Golden Eaglets trainee Ovie Ejaria, is set to be farmed out on loan to a Championship club before the close of the January transfer window on Wednesday night.
According to The Sun, Liverpool youngster Ovie Ejaria is joining Chris Coleman’s Sunderland survival fight on loan until the end of the season.
Ejaria spent his formative years at the famed Arsenal academy before joining Liverpool in 2014, he rose through the ranks before making his first team debut for the Reds against Derby County in the League Cup in September 2016.
A ligament injury he picked up against Wolves last season curtailed his appearances for Liverpool's first team in 2017, but he recovered in time to help the Young Lions win the Fifa U20 World Cup.
The central midfielder has scored two top-drawer goals for Liverpool U23s this season, most recently against Derby County in the Premier League 2.
Dubbed the New Paul Pogba, the highly-rated youngster will join up with Nigerian duo Josh Maja and Joel Asoro at Sunderland.
